Overview

Many gynecologic cancers develop slowly over time, beginning with small changes in the cells of the cervix, uterus, or ovaries. With regular checkups, these changes can often be found before they progress into cancer, allowing treatment to be simpler and more effective.

Fertility symptoms

May cause irregular bleeding between periods or after intercourse
Closely linked to HPV infection
Often detected through abnormal Pap test results before symptoms appear
Abnormal vaginal bleeding, especially after menopause
Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding in premenopausal women
Pelvic pain or discomfort in later stages
Persistent bloating or pelvic pressure
Abdominal discomfort and fullness
Vague symptoms that may delay diagnosis
